About John.

My passion for hairdressing has spanned a lifetime – from college courses, learning to cut hair the Vidal Sassoon way, picking up tips and tricks from various West End Salons to finally making my mark in the eclectic and vibrant Lower Marsh and opening my own salon. The team and I worked tirelessly to build up a reputation for outstanding work and customer service over the 25 years at Arena…

however, gentrification seemed to work harder and much to the dismay of us and the local community we had to close our doors last year…
I have since discovered a newfound freedom working freelance which has lifted the weight of trying to combine my craft with the day to day running of a small business allowing my love for the job and the clients to flourish.

simply great haircuts…

Over my career, I have seen the many trends and fashions come and go (with some we would like to forget!) and, with this, a great insight and knowledge for all colours and textures of hair. However, my speciality is still the same as when I started, which is simply great haircuts.

Pixie cuts to bobs, curly or straight, long and blunt to layered and choppy, I still get a great pride in seeing a happy client leave the salon with an excellent fresh trim.

I am skilled at bringing the best out of your cut with colour, so whether you wish go lighter or darker, subtle or bold, I always aim to work with my clients to get best results possible.
